The last enjoyable day with them

Yesterday.. Nevermind the fact that it was sunday and i had to wake up early 'cause it was a full day clinic. Nevermind the fact that i already had training the afternoon before. Nevermind the fact that i actually have to teach someone (i'm more of an individual sailor than a teacher you see). Nevermind the fact that it was super hot and i so don't need to get blacker. I Totally, Absolutely, Throughly Enjoyed Myself!

It was great to have the j2s back again. It was the fun-est sailing session i've had in ages. There were the usual chatting, teasing and bridge. Not a moment of silence; just like the good old days. I was lucky. Shauna and i were together most of the time 'cause our partner (we shared the same partner) got seasick. I think that made the time out at sea fun. Plus the fact that i got to drive the powerboat and see weelee in action. :)

Guess what time i reached home yesterday? 1130pm! Can't believe megan, xinyong and me could actually chat about random stuff till 11pm. The guys left really early after dinner. Then beatrix left too so it was down to the 3 of us. We even shifted from kfc to macs at 1030pm 'cause they were closing!

The whole day was just so beautiful. I hope this won't be the last. One thing's for sure - a slumber party at the end of the year is a must!

The above resulted in a very pms-y and AP me today. Didn't talk much, didn't smile much, didn't look all that good either i guess. Oh but i didn't regret helping out with the clinic one bit!

It was strange. I was in that horrid mood till i went to meet megan. Then everything was well again. I was my happy and talking self. Megan and i went to tm to meet amanda to get the sailing teachers presents. In the end, we got 2 mugs (1 definitely for mr chia), a wedding fund coin 'box' (for ms koh) and another box with balls on top.

Ms koh didn't marry during the 2 weeks break she took. Amanda confirmed it. And that's why we are giving her that coin 'box' to save up for her wedding day.

Or maybe she got married already. Uhuh.

The memories

Am tired. First training after the j2s left. As i looked around the first few minutes, it felt so much like before. Then it dawned on me, no these aren't them. Siyan looked oddly like shauna from afar. I guess it's the red shirt she was wearing. Shauna has one like that. And dekai resembled yinghui. I think it's 'cause of the cap he had on.

I feel happy happy happy that i'll be seeing them all, well at least most of them, really soon! Tomorrow!

Happy! :)

Attitude problem huh?

I was late again today! 7th time for the year. Today wasn't entirely my fault though. Actually, it feels like i haven't been late for eons. I think the last time was in may. That means a rather clean record for term 3. Good teresa! You're improving. :)

But guess what i got for being late? Being shouted at by mr teng. Gosh. He said in a raised voice that i have an attitude problem just because i wrote my class not that legibly - in his opinion that is. Only doctors are permitted to have that kind of handwriting he said. What the hell? I was standing and writing on the file on my hand for goodness sake!

Got a wonderful surprise on tuesday. Ann koh said that i scored an A for the recent math test! Yay-ness! That was totally unexpected. I seriously thought i would get a fail or some mediocre pass. Guess that's why she ain't saying too much about my not submitting assignments and not preparing tutorials. If you haven't known, i've stopped preparing tutorials from differentiation tutorial 1 and doing assignments from differentiation assignment 3. That was all done like a zillion years ago!

So many people's birthday are on this week. Shauna, Yinghui and Amanda - the S226 one that is. Went to buy amanda's birthday card - her birthday's today - after pt yesterday while amanda - the sailing one - went to get shauna's present - her birthday's tomorrow. Amanda's such a great gift buyer! Shauna's present was uber nice! A pink cup with a very meaningful message about friendship and a happy house book. Went to the airport after school just now to get yinghui some chocolates as it is also his birthday today. Very last minute. I didn't know what to buy so i guess food's the obvious way to go. Getting presents for guys are just plain difficult!

The whole weekend's gonna be nothing else but burnt - maybe even literally! There's afternoon training tomorrow (yes! Finally, the last training before stand-down) and a full-day sailing clinic on sunday. It's gonna be a really tired me with no school work completed on monday. Eh actually that's me every monday right? :)

-I broke what i set out not to do. Maybe this is actually the correct thing to do-

Spilling water

It's tuesday! Three more days to the weekend.. Again.

This hasn't happened in ages; water spilled out from my mouth and nose today! Was drinking a whole mouthful of water when sherry just had to make me laugh. I guess the water had no where to go but up so up it went to my nose. It was coming out from everywhere - mouth and nose - la and i was even tearing a bit from the laughing. Gawd.

Finally tried playing tennis. Man it's tough! I was wondering how maria sharapova can play like it's so easy. Or for that matter even my aunt. Was pretty much picking up the balls for most of the time. Absolutely couldn't help it. The ball comes so fast that all i could do with that little time was lift my racquet so that it'll bounce off only to hit the net in between. Either that, or it was a total miss. Height was a disadvantage too - i'm too short! Unlike 1.87m jungchao (he did really well for a beginner). I wanna learn! Must!

Right hand is aching now. Even my legs a little.

The 2 tests this week are down the drain. Most probably 2 Fs.

Crap.

-should i change what i've been doing?-

Horoscope for the week

There is a new wave of optimism sweeping through you. Much of what you have taken for granted is now being challenged in the light of recent developments. While you enjoy these revelations, you have to also prepare others for the inevitable.

4 things worth remembering

Not one. Not two. Not three either. But a total of four incidents over the last 2 days.

First: My stupid skirt got hooked by the back of the seat in LT 4 when i was going down to my seat from the row above.
I was sitting in the middle of the row and bags practically covered the whole route so, to reduce trouble, i went one row up to get to my seat. How ironic. I don't know how much my skirt was lifted up but i sure hope it wasn't that much. When i reached home, i checked my underwear. No it wasn't a nice one. Damn. At least butt looked firm though. -haha- The good thing was i just screamed a little and laughed it off. :)

Second: There was this primary school kid that waited for my bus to come and said bye to me.
I usually change buses at this particular bus stop. Yesterday, a boy alighted at that place with me. He sat on the seats at the bus stop till i wanted to leave when the next bus came. Then he said bye and starting walking away. At that moment, i was wondering who he was saying goodbye to then i realised i was the only one leaving that bus stop. Ok i became a little paranoid then - 'cause of all the ghost stories i've been hearing - and took a second look at him when i was on the bus. Yes, he was just a regular primary school boy. Wierd.

Third: An unknown guy sms-ed and said he got my number from a newspaper last week.
I was asleep when an unknown person sms-ed at 9pm so when i woke up at 2, i replied asking who was it. And he replied at 4am 'i'm ronald. who are you'. What? You were the one who first messaged me. So i asked how he got my number then he said 'from a newspaper. last week issue'. You don't use 'issue' to when referring to a newspaper right? I thought it was always only used for magazines and such. Anyway, my final message to him was 'I think this is one big fat joke. I need my sleep. Night'. Why of all people did he choose to play a prank on me? Gosh.

Fourth: A man who has a funny hair line at the back.
The guy sitting in front of me had such an odd hair line that i was looking at it the whole time i was in that bus. It was like an inverted 'U'. The middle was as hairless as it gets. It was as if no hair ever grew from there. Not even a tiny hair - like those on your face - could be seen. Great. I wish i can have that. Not on my head that is. -haha-

Friends

It's hard to keep friends in this fast-paced jc life that i'm we're leading. Somehow, this always happens - i gain a friend and at the same time, i'll lose another. And now, really i don't care very much no more. In fact, i've come up with this - 'Want me as a friend or not, you decide. Leave traces, i'll read the signs'.

I told myself today to never start a conversation with her again till she starts one. Never. It will only be the regular 'hi!' and 'bye!' from now on. What did i do to have you ask your friend to be angry with me? I was merely agreeing to what she said. Did you realise i was extremely quiet after a while? I just didn't talk. At that point of time, i thought it was because i had nothing to talk about. But later on the bus, i did a little reflection and it suddenly dawned on me that i didn't utter a word 'cause actually deep inside i didn't want to. I don't usually keep that awkward silence for long but i did so just now.

It went something like this:
Talk talk talk then -silence-. You asked a question. I answered with a sentence. Then once again -silence-.

I remembered feeling wierd but i didn't do anything to reduce whatever awkward-ness that was present 'cause subconsciously i guess i knew i didn't need someone like you.

Whatever la sam, whatever.

You probably aren't reading too much into this. It probably doesn't really matter for you. But for me, these are signs. Signs that i'm always on the lookout for.

Random-ness

Dad and mom are out for dinner.
It feels nice to have the house to just the 3 of us.
No restrictions, no nothing.
In the past, we would cook dinner and have a candlelight meal at the coffee table.
The last time was when we were still in primary school.
We were all so very innocent then.
How i miss those times.
My childhood.
Memories that i'll always remember.

Was pissed

I was pissed. You see, mom reprimanded me for being at the computer for about 4 hours. I've to admit that's a really long time. However, i reckon if i had spent that 4 hours watching the tv, sleeping or just bumming around, she wouldn't have said anything. It's just the computer. There's no difference at all; i ain't doing any work in that 4 hours no matter what. But as you can see, i'm back here once again. Not pissed no more and adding more online hours to my saturday.

I'm getting seriously worried. Sherry called me in the evening. I couldn't really hear what she was saying as the background noise was overwhelming. But i thought she was crying. I kept asking her what happened but she wouldn't tell me. So i sent 2 other sms-es, no reply.

Update at 11.18pm: Oh i just received a sms from her. -phew- All settled. :)

Road to falling sick

A dry throat. A funny stomach. Fatigue.
All signs of being on the road to getting The Flu.
Oh great.
Must be the late nights that screwed up my body.
No, correct that.
It must be sleeping at 4am last night that screwed my body.
Waking up after napping 3 hours to feel just as tired as before sucks.
Fatigue ain't feeling nice at all, not at all.
Being sick is usually what i'd wish for.
Not so much now.
As if i'm not lagging enough.
Gawd.

Singapore's 40th birthday

Did you catch a glimpse of the moon last night? It was awesome. I've never come across the moon looking as splendid as that. You could almost see how the earth shielded the light from the sun so that there was not a full moon but a cresent one. It was the perfect shade of yellow - neither too bright nor dark. The cresent was very nicely shaped - not too broad and not too narrow. It was clearly defined yet you could see the black slowly merge with the golden yellow of the moon, leaving no clear line of separation between the two colours. The view - breathtaking. I wish i had a camera right then.

There was a tiny shiny dot beneath it. It looked like a star. But it wasn't how stars should look like; stars are supposed to be silver. This one definitely wasn't silver. It was the same golden yellow as the moon. Wierd, i thought. Did i just witness a once-in-a-million years phenomenon?

-----

Today's Singapore's 40th birthday! Sadly, the national day parade didn't impress me. Neither did the fireworks. Truth to be told, having celebrations at 4 other venues besides the padang sucked. Whoever came up with that idea ought to be shot! And my my, who said having lots of small fireworks crowding - yes i do mean crowding - the sky was good? I'd much rather have big fireworks that make me go wow! then many small little ones bursting simultaneously, creating such a mess.

SR canoeists

Went to paramount hotel to pass sarah stuff for her canoeing farewell scrapbook of sorts. Charged her 5bucks for the wonderful service i provided. What a great deal!

There was even a bonus; i got to meet the SR canoeists in the flesh. It's nice to be able to put a face to the people i've been hearing so much of in the past 1 1/2 years.

Their culture is definitely very different from the sailors. For one, they speak chinese infinitely more than us. We hardly do ever speak chinese to each other. They are more down-to-earth i guess and that's a very good thing. Extremely fun and cool bunch of people!

The guys looked great! The girls look fabulous too! Ok i've to admit, guy canoeists look much better than guy sailors. But the girls.. Hey we're comparable ok! :)

Slack.. Totally

What a nice weekend!

Watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Wei Huey on friday. Funny i keep calling it Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory after catching it. It was well, alright. I was closing my eyes here and there - you know that act of slow blinking - so yeah it ain't that marvelous.

Gelato is simply the best! It tastes so good and it's lower in fat than regular ice cream. Makes the eating experience all the more enjoyable since you know you are actually not sinning that much.

Anyone up for some through-the-night outing? Got that idea from walking down orchard and seeing people queue to dine at swensons at past 10pm. I shall organise one such outing at the end of this year when we have all turned 18. We can have our maiden clubbing experience and just hang out all night long. How cool is that?

Saturday was a whole day of activities. For one, i overslept and only reached school more than a hour late. What's new? Did a minute amount of work before helping out with the sailing clinic. MJ bball girls were having a match with TJ. I so wanted to watch but it just seemed kinda wierd. Don't know why. Anyway i heard from eric chua later that we lost. Ayy.

Man we - the sailing girls - are just such avid card players. From hearts to bridge, we played for about 2 1/2 hours? Wonderful people we are. Cards are like our all-time fave activity now. At the very least, it's mind-stimulating. Not bad at all.

Had a bbq at my uncle's place at night. We reached there pretty late so the food was pretty much gone. Leftovers. I have to say The Bayshore is just so nice, i'd literally do anything to live there. Here are some pictures.

We went for a ride to the infamous red light district after that. Wow! What an eye-opener! Did you know that different streets has different kind of girls? There's the young and pretty ones, the foreigners, the old ones among many others. And the girls line the whole street, with about 3 metres between each other. Can you imagine how many were there? Very very interesting indeed.

Yesterday was just plain slacking. My grandma read my palm. Sort of. She said i shouldn't marry so early 'cause i'll have complicated relationships. You see, i've have 5 distinct lines - 2 of the lines diverges to show 4 lines altogether - on my right palm unlike the usual 3 lines that most people have. Apparently, one of them is the relationship line. Hmm does that mean, i'll be unfaithful? I wonder. :)

A big SORRY! to pei mun. I didn't know you had to do so much. Thanks so much yeah? :)

Made quite a nice discovery today. Pretty cool.

Heard of something yesterday -from kent. Totally shocking and well, just unbelievable! But can't say that i didn't see it coming though.

Ms kang is back for good. She still remembers us - the tk sailing team. I'm surprised.

-I don't know if i'm reading the signs right
I hope i am-

Fat fat fat

It's official. I'm FAT!

Tried that know-your-percentage-of-fats thing just now. Gosh, 22.8% of fats! I really need to lose some of that fats. Oh not forgetting the weight too. Must seriously start going on a diet. Give me those exercises too. Definitely going to run extra rounds tomorrow.

Peimun was gushing over this girl just now. No she ain't crooked. Shan't say more. :)

I think we're just so fated to have count-backs to determine the winner. Amanda and me got the same grade for the math test! Ay, what's new? Tie-breaker already set so we'll know who got the deal tomorrow.

I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT!
