Astrology

My tarot reading for today

Love: Justice
Touchstone: Temperance
Career: The Tower

You’ve got green lights everywhere in your romantic life, dear Teresa! You’re under the powerful protection of the pair Justice/Temperance, which is offering you serenity and foresight in the emotional realm. Thanks to your perceptual acuity and your capability to listen to what others have to say, harmony will be reigning in your emotional interaction. You’re behaving in a way that makes it easy for people to understand and even love you. Certain people are trying to stir up trouble in your professional environment, and yet you're managing to preserve an Olympian calm. You're not exactly the rebellious type! The Tower and Temperance indicate that the world could collapse around your ears, and you'd still know how to adapt to the change and rebuild on the ruins. You're a shining example to others!

My horoscope reading for today

Your financial goals may seem vague and uncertain at this time, dear Scorpio. Perhaps you're facing a crossroads in your life as far as income goes, and you might not be sure which way to go. Or else you might be planning to make some purchases and could have a hard time deciding which are most important. Either way, this might not be the day to try to make any kind of decision. Wait a day or two.

@ 1:29 PM
For the first time in a long while

I was actually busy. Spent the morning preparing month-end payments. But obviously my work is done and I'm free again. Okay, maybe not so free. But very soon, I will have to once again act busy 'cause Boss is here.

No pool today in the name of socialising.

Sunday, April 29, 2007 @ 11:08 AM
Which?

I was gonna go YAYYYY POOOOOL but Sister S said Aunt S invited me to a company dinner thing at her house tomorrow.

I wanna go travelling!

Saturday, April 28, 2007 @ 11:12 PM
Where do I go from here?

So I finally received some news. News I suppose I would rather not receive. Now, I have one last hope. Please please please let me get into Business. You know we're so afraid we won't be able to study Business, S and I are going to the temple either tomorrow or before work on Monday to pray. Yes, that's the extent of our desperation.

I regret.

But it's also this that made me realise I have found another friend whom I can share my happiness/disappointment/sorrow with. It's like when something major (or minor) happens and the first thing you wanna do is to tell someone, yeah she'll be that someone.

Down.

It's true when they say things will never be the same again. It's true for so many things.

@ 10:38 AM
Whoa.

I reached home close to 4, slept, and I actually woke up at 8.30 without being woken up by no alarm clock or loud noises whatsoever. I am impressed with my body clock. No wonder getting up for work seems a tad easier nowadays. Okay, I concede it's prolly more because I don't want to spend that 8 bucks on cab lah.

Food glorious food! Yesterday for lunch, we had the famous Beach Road prawn mee. For tea, we had abalone and bird's nest. Dinner - scallops and tenderloin steak. Supper - fried calamari.

They blackmailed me can! After we were done with the abalone and bird's nest, they said, 'see where else can you eat such good food?' and proceeded to say, 'you already ate our abalone and bird's nest ah so you cannot quit. The food is already in your stomach.' Ahh, blackmail, blackmail!

WH works just 5 minutes from Clarke Quay! How lucky. So we went to this place where they served meat on hot stones. Pretty cool. The scallops rocked (in my opinion 'cause that girl said the sauce stinks) and the tenderloin was really.. well, it was really tender. That girl's wierd lah. She doesn't eat any dairy stuff (totally hates cream dishes and cheese flavoured snacks) but eats KFC's cheese fries. -.-

Then, on C's and Sister S's recommendation, we headed to Cafe Iguana for snacks and drinks. We had the outermost table so it was away from the din and very airy. Sat there for 5 hours! I think we qualified for 'Restaurants' most disliked people'. But we weren't that horrid, we did order okay. Please never order the cocktails or beers. Ya lah, ge kiang want to try something different., we now know better. The margaritas were good. The glasses were rimmed with salt. Hmm, what happened with that sugar glass? I'm still positive it was sugar. Plus point: No smoke. Woots! Err, I filled a job application form before we left.

During that super duper long chat, I realised that I'm one to brush things under the carpet. Not good. She said that's prolly why said people and I never get back to how it was before. Okay, kinda true. Maybe except for one; and I treasure her a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot. You get my point.

That's why I like hanging out with WH - we can chat about pretty much anything and there's that element of honesty. At least on my part. Back in second Year 1, we went discovering new eating places almost every Friday after school though we were in the same class no more. Pity that in Year 2, I had the crappiest of timetables. My Fridays were always sooo looooooonnggg. Oh oh, I don't think she remembers but she was the one beside me when I first cried in school. On that staircase in the library.

My-grocery-shopping-kaki-whom-I-haven't-gone-grocery-shopping-with-for-so-long - I never exactly had a no-talking period with her. Quite a feat.

Envy!

I managed to get out of the office today. On an errand no doubt but still, I got to pass Raffles Place in the morning. It's like they are in a league above the rest. The view of that place makes me want to work there even more though the number of people on the trains during peak hour rush is just MAD. Passed PSA too. Plenty of containers set against the blue sea. Uber nice picture. I was telling S I think I wanna work there in the future. Darn cool job, beside the sea and they get fat bonuses too. What's there not to like? I love sitting in a car/van/whatever mid morning when the sky's blue and clear. The ECP is the best expressway in Singapore. How I miss East Coast Park. I think I will cycle/blade there tomorrow or something.

Never ever want to step into the Work Pass Division again. Being in a room filled with foreigners didn't feel right at all.

@ 12:26 AM
Sucks lah.

Everyday I come home, I check if there's any mail for me. Even S has received a letter; albeit from SMU. But still, it's a letter! Where's mine, where's mine?

The lady in Singapore Gaga who sings while selling tissue paper in a wheel chair is finally here at Aljunied. I didn't buy any tissue though. Most of the time I pass such people, I actually do want to donate but more often than not I eventually don't. It is either because I'm in a rush or I'm too lazy to take out my wallet to dig for shillings or because I cannot possibly stop in my tracks when the people behind me are walking very briskly. The same goes for buskers. I'll make an effort to do more good deeds.

I started sending resumes out today. One replied but it was darn crappy. I applied for HR Coordinator but she offered me the job of Redemption Assistant. You know, one of those people at cheapo redemption counters at shopping malls. Like what the crap?!

New activity: Going overnight fishing next Friday. With booze - her idea! I think I will be out come mid-night-morning.

Am currently hooked on Ugly Betty. Grey's Anatomy (=DDD) is still number one favourite though.

Fancy us using the tagboard to chat. Wow, we rock! =D

Thursday, April 26, 2007 @ 12:29 PM
Screw the train service

I almost missed Uncle's van 'cause the train took 5 minutes to come this morning. I always take the 8.14 am train but today it only came at 8.17 am. The three minutes difference means a lot ok.

From today onwards, we're gonna have nice lunches 'cause the office is going to get our own food. That also means that Nice Colleague won't be at her desk so I will have time to blog like this almost everyday! =D

Just now Mentor mentioned my wanting to quit and they made a joke out of it lor. Am I stuck here or what?

Wednesday, April 25, 2007 @ 4:35 PM
Free money

So at work today, I only opened one Excel file and typed in 3 entries.

Surfed the web until I'm bored. Play Minesweeper until I'm equally bored.

Finally told Mentor of my intention to quit. She just went, 'huh??' and 'why??' but didn't give me an answer. Grr.

Don't care, going to ask them to find me a new job later. This is getting so meaningless.

Gonna attempt to sleep now.

@ 12:44 PM
Out of touch

Just checked out the SingaporeSailing's website in months and realised A's and my sailing idol is actually the national byte coach now! She was one of the best sailors I ever met - never screams out at sea, extremely skilful but was still very humble. Unlike all the other national sailors, she never got her own boat. She was one of those people who will help should there be any problem out at sea. Like that time KSL came and stayed by my boat when my boom came out and there was no way I could put it back what with the winds and waves. The sky was so dark and it was storming really bad. I was so scared can.

It's too bad we had to move out of NSC. I miss the sailing community ever since.

@ 9:36 AM
Take their advice

When they say, don't eat durians with beer. You don't. Not even after 5 hours that if you haven't eaten anything.

And I found a tiny stone thingy in my bump. Wonder what else is under the skin.

Tuesday, April 24, 2007 @ 11:31 PM
Why even bother?

Haven't brought it up with colleagues.

No one is dependable.

It's been a bad night.

Pounding head and I feel like puking.

@ 3:29 PM
Satisfying.

Curry fish head. Oyster omelette. Durians to go.

DURIANS!

I hope I can be a sister to a bride soon!

@ 11:50 AM
Man.

I cannot find an appropriate time to talk to my colleagues. Like it'll be so wierd if it were to be the first thing in the morning and it'll be also be wierd if I bring up the topic out of the blue in the middle of the day.

Anyway, I decided what I want my next job to be. I want to do events! Or some coordinator crap! The kind of stuff where hopefully I won't be staying in my chair the whole day long even though my current red chair is very comfy. Oh, did I mention that this is my second chair? I totally spoilt the navy blue one.

Just in the shower this morning, I was thinking how fabulous it would be if I didn't have to go to work. I can then wake up at any time I want. If not for the money..

Okay that was this morning. Now that I think of it, waking up is the only issue. If I can have a job that doesn't have to have me drag myself out of bed in the morning, that would be perfect.

@ 11:24 AM
The sad goodbye

There will be no more free palm reading, no more teaching on how to get numbers for 4D and Toto from TPK, no more lessons on how to pray, fengshui and other whatnots.

Cottage Pies just started serving her favourite coffee again.

But she will be gone.

Monday, April 23, 2007 @ 3:31 PM
While colleagues go get prawn mee

Yes we haven't had lunch and we they are starved!! I stuffed myself with enough potato chips and some rice cracker with chocolate filling thingy to feel not so hungry. Guess what, there are actually three packets of rice waiting for us but we're not eating them 'cause, in their words, it's just gross. Office-politics me say to follow them, the kind me thinks it's so darn wasteful of us. Quite obviously, the former won.

I haven't brought up my wanting to resign yet. Gah, I don't even know how to start. Anyway, it's too late to do it now. Shall push to tomorrow. Will do tomorrow.

I'm feeling disappointed in myself already.

And I'm nodding off in front of the computer.

@ 3:41 AM
Step One

I finally completed my resume. Like FINALLY! Tomorrow I'm gonna talk to colleagues then we'll see.

Also embarked on my exercise plan!

Have things-to-do planned for work tomorrow. Woots! Won't be too bored.

Unbelievable. She actually gave me her password!

Sunday, April 22, 2007 @ 4:24 PM
Blue

I wanted to do a lil something but I'm afraid it would speak too much so I guess I shan't.

I can't believe he thought that and even denied when asked. Sorry, won't entertain you no longer.

On another note, chatted with him yesterday. Made the day a wee bit better.

@ 2:48 AM
Skip rope & crunches

Just had a hearty supper which is like CRAP!! because was just telling M in the afternoon that tummy is fats through and through, which it absolutely is.

Cousin came back with LOADS of stuff. And she has a Coach bag!!

Damn the painters who dripped white paint on my jeans.

I will not end up in Social Science. I will not end up in Social Science. I will not end up in Social Science. Now, even that isn't confirmed yet.

Think no more.

Saturday, April 21, 2007 @ 10:28 PM
Feeling excited already

Heading to the airport! Weeeeee!

And A and I are planning to have a three batch sailors' gathering thingy. Woots! Cannot wait.

Friday, April 20, 2007 @ 11:07 PM
Done deal?

Lately, this blog has become just a place for me to cure my boredom at work (mostly the case) and sometimes at home. So I type many many many entries documenting my everyday activities and saying how bored I am. Pointless?

Perhaps...

@ 5:01 PM
Ayy

I wanted to sneak some sleep but I forgot about the telephone. After 5 minutes, one call came in. Then another, then another. Don't need to sleep already lor. And I just remembered I got some work to do. Plus, our luncheon meat bread seems to be a thousand miles away in Neverland.

My bed!

Updated at 5.06pm: Colleagues are cooking food right now!! SMILES! =D

@ 11:11 AM
Since I'm so free

I shall post another entry. 'Cause since I'm so free, I've been playing hour after hour of Minesweeper and I think I am just about another 100 hours to being an absolute pro. =D

Beginner: 5 seconds
Intermediate: 49 seconds
Expert: 146 seconds

Pretty good hor.

@ 10:51 AM
Sweet!

Currently, I am so freeeee I'm practising my signature for my card. Yes, I got my very own MasterCard!! No more having to walk to the counter to enter the 6-digit PIN. 酷极了!

What a puke-y day yesterday was. Three friends puked. SH cannot make it lah. Eat so little also discharge. =D I even saw the contents of her puke. Brown goo-ey stuff in the BASIN! Eeeew.

Actually Nice Colleague just invited me to a dinner tonight but feeling so tired. And fat. I think I should just go home, load up on the lemon juice, sleep and get ready for another first lesson tomorrow.

You know they say that during orientation camps, business students all wear bikinis. Like GAH! I really ought to start running, swimming, whatever at the soonest. And I haven't gotten a reply from NUS and NTU. Grr grr grr.

Now alone in the office 'cause they are doing stock checking. The freedom!

Am thinking of tendering my resignation on Monday. The contradiction.

Thursday, April 19, 2007 @ 1:36 PM
Smelly smelly me.

Oops. I didn't shower last night when I reached home. Just changed then pa! right on couch to sleep. All I was thinking was, 'must sleep, must sleep, tomorrow have to wake up early for work'. Well, this morning I woke up in time to take a cab - crappy - and clock in at 8.59am. How punctual!

Long day yesterday. Queued for doughnuts, got doughnuts. New Asia Bar - bouncer noticed us 'cause of the darn (delicious) doughnuts we carried everywhere. Waiter was really nice. We ordered 1 minute before Happy Hour ended. Yay! We walked right into the gents at Swissotel and only realised when an angmoh guy entered. How embarrassing. Met AT. Good guy he was. Very humourous too. Went to DXO. Al fresco area - not too bad. Had a couple of drinks. Tried a smoke. It was a light ciggie though so no big deal.. I hope? Passed Sy doughnuts and home.

Honestly, I had half a mind to just go straight home 'cause was tired but doughnuts rule?! And the smoke - I don't get why people like trying to suck a hollow stick. It feels like nothing. Or maybe it's because I didn't manage to breathe in, you know, like really inhale so I didn't quite see what's so 'power' about it. Hated the aftertaste it left in the mouth though.

Finally tried tequila pop. Too sweet. Vodka lime too. Irish beer - not to my liking. Cosmopolitan - nice! Plus who knew those crystals on the rim of the margarita glass is sugar and not salt? Okay, maybe it's just me.

Suffering from lack of sleep. Going for buffet later. Sucha pig.

Tuesday, April 17, 2007 @ 10:42 PM
You know,

perhaps that Korean shooter should have been here to shoot me.

Monday, April 16, 2007 @ 9:44 PM
My choice now.

Opportunity presented. Up to me whether to take it or not.

I punched a hole in two demand drafts TWO!!.

Seriously. Just shoot me.

@ 2:42 PM
To the onlooker

One trip out to run office's errands and it is disallowed.

One trip out to do personal stuff and it is allowed.

Where is the justice?

@ 1:07 AM
Another busy week awaits!

Sam asked me to go vacation-ing at Sabah/Sarawak with her. When I asked for the estimated cost, she replied 1.5k. Gosh, I almost hyperventilated.

Oh, and some day the past week, I finally asked 'Nice Colleague' 'bout her smoking. Didn't beat around the bush just straight out. Extremely blunt actually. Friend S and I agreed that if we are very sure one stick (or even drag) won't get us hooked, we will definitely try it. Just to test its 'powers'. But how sure can we be?

Saturday, April 14, 2007 @ 2:21 AM
Dear blog,

It was Friday the 13th just two hours ago. True to the words of many about it being an unfortunate day, it was a terrible day for me. Maybe it wasn't that terrible, but one thing just had to spoil the entire day. One thing. I had almost two weeks of good days you know. I was already getting used to that.

In the morning, I had my first paper cut since forever. Okay, nothing serious, just a paper cut. The bomb dropped in the afternoon when Tutee sms-ed to say, well, his guardian got to know of a tuition centre that can guide him in all his subjects so I'm not needed no more. The bubble of hope that the fees would, at least, cover some of this month's expenses went pop! right then. I mean, it's not even mid-April and my expenditure is, what, roughly 300 bucks already?! The fact that I rejected three tuition jobs earlier this week made me even more pek chek. Stupid piece of crap. And I got 'pushed' the blame for not making a donation that we were supposed to make. It's obviously not my mistake can. Plus, so many of them guys got enlisted yesterday. My MSN kakis! Grr. In the end, I didn't go for dinner so the long awaited buffet is once again postponed - to next next Friday.

To the gods and ancestors above, I ask for your blessings. Please allow me to tio 4D this weekend. Pretty please?

Friday, April 13, 2007 @ 3:18 PM
SIAN!

Note to self: Die die must arrange outing next Tuesday for Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry's. =D

@ 1:25 AM
The frozen margarita that became liquid

I drink as slow as I eat lah. Seriously, a person who takes more than a hour to finish a BK meal wouldn't be any quicker drinking. Candice helped me to drink some some more. I suck. =D

My stomach started hurting upon reaching home. I thought, maybe it's gastric since I (only) ate cup noodles for brunch and cake + iced macadamia coffee for tea. After popping five pills, no difference. Chey, cramps lah not gastric. Excess sodium bicarbonate, heavy magnesium carbonate and light magnesium carbonate won't kill, right?

The queue for donuts was unbelievable. ETA at head of queue: three hours. Mad or mad, you tell me. Bumped into ZH. Raffles City is like the bump-into-each-other place. Everytime I go there, I'm bound to meet someone.

Interview was alright. Was nervous but still able to think. Civil servants' pay came up as anticipated; I mean it's Social Science. Consider this: 'If you are 70 years old and you look back, what would be the most valuable experience?'. Anyway, I crapped through it all. Thank goodness I put the choices the way I did. Managed to meet and chat with the girls before and after me so that was cool. When the girl before was done, she passed our room and said, 'the interview was sooo bad' and even gave a big hint. I thought that was really nice. And unselfish.

Of late, Amanda and I have been discussing/debating on self-interest. If a mere acquaintance can be that generous, how far should a friend/good friend go to be deemed acceptable?

Thursday, April 12, 2007 @ 2:23 AM
I never will know

Shucks. Freaking fell asleep so I missed what's probably my one and only chance.

Yay, have company to SMU! Cheers to Candice for not being able to find her result slip! I'm not such a meanie. But seriously, YAY to her! =D

Oh no, I spent a hell lot today. TOO MUCH. And it was just on hair and two bags.

Must. Save. Up.

Wednesday, April 11, 2007 @ 1:52 AM
Hello you.

I say it takes a very unkind person to avoid the question like this.

You are one.

Yeah, shoo. Buzz off. Thank you.

Tuesday, April 10, 2007 @ 10:38 PM
The unhappiness

I probably heard the words 三八 more times these two days than ever. Abhor it.

Should go Jiuzhaigou or not.

Friend said I sound wierd saying 'You're such a babe'.

Still going out tomorrow after all.

It's Tuesday. 5 more days to end of packed week.

@ 11:46 AM
Crap.

I purposely arranged my week such that every alternate day was a rest day. Alas, the week's plan is down the drain. I hate such packed weeks 'cause the next will be such a lull one.

Barely 16 hours after my application to SMU and I received a call from them. Social Science. After I hung up, I was like, gosh what did I get myself into?

Monday, April 09, 2007 @ 2:58 AM
Sigh

I just realised I don't know which is the credit card number on a credit card.

I have to courier the supporting documents and cheque (see above) to SMU tomorrow. Too late for snail mail. Again.

Sarah and I were looking at our monthly expenditure and mine, compared to hers, is ridiculously high. Can't figure out why.

Anyway, in an attempt to spend less, save more, we came up with a plan.
Two milk bottles, 50-cent and 1-dollar coins, and a competition to see whose coins will reach the brim first.

The Parents think we will probably take a year and there will be more than 1K in there at the end.

Right.

Will. Save. Up.

Saturday, April 07, 2007 @ 2:35 AM
=DDD

I am proud of myself. Presently, I am drinking the juice of my third lemon today. That's record breaking okay! I haven't even gone beyond one lemon a day. =D

Colleague is down with food poisoning. We strongly suspect it's because of the raw cockles yesterday. So no soup on Monday! Ahh. I think I'll find another simpler detox diet.

Dinner was a feast. We had many delicacies and I had my first taste of stout. With a few cubes of ice, it was pretty drink-able. Next on the to-try list is whisky.

Finally got to eat the you tiao and soya beancurd at 台湾永和豆浆油条大王. It was packed at 1am!

Ah pool, pool, pool! Who wants to play pool?

PM already got a call! Okay, I ought to stop procrastinating, get started on the darn essay for the SMU application and start reading the newspapers. As M said, 'i dont wanna screw up my future cos i didnt read the damn papers'. Indeed.

Thursday, April 05, 2007 @ 11:04 PM
I feel like a glutton

My goodness, I ate so much at work today I feel guilty. Two plates of beehoon, a packet of hor fun, two tapioca kueh, a slice of cake and for the first time, many many raw cockles. All in nine hours! Yes, uncooked cookles mixed with dark sauce, chilli and smashed honey coated nuts. YUMMY! Sister S wasn't too happy when I told her about it. She says it may give me hepatitis, which is true but.. the cockles were really delicious! Did I mention that I also ate vadai with green chilli for the first time two days ago? I never did dare to try eating the raw green chilli just like that since forever

And because we've been feasting like this for the past three days, 'Nice Colleague' and I decided to embark on this diet plan of hers. Apparently, we will be able to lose 3kgs in four days. She will be preparing the all-important tomato soup on Monday. That's the first day and on the first day, we can eat only vegetables and fruits. Second day - only vegetables. Third day - I forgot. The final day - milk and three bananas. Plus, I bought ten lemons just now! I feel motivated already.

The segregation is increasingly clear; like when she took the plates for the bee hoon. One for herself, one for 'Mentor', one for me, none for 'Other Colleague'. Un-subtlety at its best. So I will still be attending the temple dinner with them tomorrow, because how ever mean they are to her, they do treat me very good.

Sister R is ton-ning at the airport and I am so tempted to join her. Am like 70% go, 30% don't go. Go because it's been eons since I stayed overnight there. I think the last time was studying for the A's which is like The Past. Don't go because I know not what to do. I don't have any assignment/tutorials/revising to do. It is like my mind is programmed that way - overnight at airport = studying. Also, I haven't slept a wink. And I don't have My Company. If anyone, anyone, would so gladly accompany me, even just for breakfast after that.. Ah forget it, normal people sleep at night. I happen to know a lot of normal people now. I will just go.

Perhaps.

I miss those times. The days and nights at the airport, the whole days at That Study Room, the days at fast food joints or cafes, the days at the library and the nights at That Table in her house.

I feel slightly wierded out just typing that. Me miss studying. Uhh.

@ 1:03 PM
Slack!

I had a good night's sleep.
There was breakfast. Snacks for tea is already here. Lunch is on the way. We are going to have cockles for lunch!
Marina Bay this evening. Hopefully, pool after that. I'm in the mood for pool again.
Handed over a few pieces of paper to 'Mentor'.
Introduced to colleagues the phrase 'rhyming couplet'.
Chat, chat, chat. Blog, blog, blog. Minesweeper, minesweeper, minesweeper.

And she said 总算没白疼你. Hmm.

Cranky

Why isn't that ******* hole at the back of the cpu? Now my ******* router cannot be connected and a ******* wireless network cannot be set up. I asked Mom if we can get a new pc. Cannot, wait another ******* month. After meddling with the wires behind the cpu, my monitor is now a ******* shade of green. I mean, it was already in a shade of green but it's now greener than ever. And the ******* icons at the bottom look screwed.

Why must the first prize be ******* 0424 and not 7424? I was this close to winning.

This is like the 6th post of the day. Now that is really ****** up..

@ 4:43 PM
My third post at work today

It's pretty obvious. I AM VERY VERY BORED. I've completed all my tasks which in the first place, isn't supposed to be mine at all. It is already the third day and absolutely not a piece of crap has been handed over yet. 'Nice Colleague' and 'Mentor' are still out. They have been out for more than a hour. See ah, this is also why I don't want to stay on. It is plain unnecessary and they will be so free they can go out often like today.

I am like how bitchy and fickle right?

@ 3:36 PM
Yet another post

I've been blogging a lot these days. Quite a few at work some more. I am still playing minesweeper. I am also chatting on MSN using Ebuddy. I feel brilliant for being able to work round the restriction of MSN on my computer by The Evil One. It boils down to two reasons: slack work and more guts. I hate my guts sometimes but not for this. Badly need some entertainment. Like seriously.

So colleague is buying 4D for me right now. If I win first or second prize, treats for every appointment these two weeks. Third prize and starter - treats for the two (or three of them) at Thursday supper 'cause it is thanks to them and the two tables we sat at. Weee. I prayed to TPK this morning okay.

Birthday cake birthday cake birthday cake! Looks good! Cannot wait to have it for tea. =D

@ 12:20 PM
I think I am turning nocturnal

And I reckon the eye rings will never disappear since unlike nocturnal creatures (humans included), I don't, or rather can't, sleep in the day. Gah.

I didn't make it for breakfast as expected but it was only because Dad was able to give me a lift to work. I still had Ya Kun toast bread to eat though. =D And 'Nice Colleague' just reminded me that I haven't eaten the nice nice chocolate on my table yet. Am amazed I didn't have too much of a problem getting out of bed and also am not feeling the least bit tired now. Maybe all that sleepy-ness and thus crankiness will show later.

Currently, I am feeling happy and am smiling at the computer for no reason. =D

Shit, it's 4!

Work, tuition plus walking how many kilometres home and still cannot sleep! Ah I can predict what will happen later. I won't wake up in time for breakfast and the whole time in the office will be such a torture 'cause all I will be thinking of is the bed. I will lie down and pray hope I get a nap.

@ 1:15 AM
It is a good day!

Contributing factors:

1. I was extremely pleased (and surprised too since it is after work and my brain is supposed to not be functioning) with my tutoring today so I decided to walk home from Kembangan.

2. Colleagues and I are going for Ya Kun breakfast before work later today.

3. Sister S just baked three cakes so there are many cakes to eat. Wait, today is the fourth of April! There is going to be a birthday cake delivered to the office while birthday boy is far far away in China! Many many cakes to eat! =D I tell you why Sister S made three cakes. It's because we had four blocks of cheese expiring tomorrow in our fridge. You know why we had four blocks? Because we were cheapos and bought them when they were discounted with the thought that our baking frenzy some 549461189 years back wouldn't ever die. Shh, don't let anyone know I let out the secret.

Non-contributing factors:

1. Still no wireless router. Why was Challenger closed right in the middle of their opening hours out of the blue?

2. It is 99.9999% official. Though apparent last day of work is next Friday, I am stuck being a temple girl till uni starts. Or sometime close to that at least. I didn't even give a definite answer but they assumed it was a yes, made all the arrangements and left me with little choice but to tell my consultant, 'No, I'm not looking for a new job. Want to take a break.'. I mean, there is the pay rise but I will take a bet and say that I can get that salary elsewhere. I want a change of environment quite badly although I think I will miss colleagues a little! A new job will also mean another period of adaptation. If only someone can tell me what to do.

My stomach rumbles

Dang, I think I drink too much lemon juice. Four lemons in two days. And because I have a screwed body clock, I slept just now thus the best solution to hunger is gone. Am HUNGRY! Shall go grab some fruits. Ah, lemons! Right, me thinks shall just go pop some pills and get constipation.

Hmm.

* I am pissed at R for having me type this another time because of her stupid printing.

I told 'Mentor' the first thing in the morning that I have a piece of bad news and it seems that my huge mistake is, well, not that huge after all. Perhaps she really braced herself for the worst possible news imagineable and mine is just about halfway there since I did, somewhat, correct my mistake.

Man, I am so disappointed that I handed over NOTHING today. I was kept busy 'cause I still had to do all the start-of-the-month payments that I purposely accumulated till the file was ultra full for her. Yeah, bad me. The possibility of handing over anything tomorrow or tomorrow tomorrow is quite dim.

They asked me to stay on but instead of doing accounts, I will be doing events which is rather yay-ness because events is way cool! The rushing to meet deadlines, late nights working and all - very exciting and it gives me some sort of a high. Plus, they are proposing giving me a higher pay. I don't know. I have been looking forward to my departure from that place since eons ago. Also, I will be like an assistant to 'Nice Colleague but two-faced' and I am unsure if it means I will be doing all the sai gang for her. That would be totally un-fun and outrageous!

Weeee! I have chocolates to eat tomorrow! Actually, I already had them since Thursday. 'Nice Colleague' put nice nice on my table on top of my paper clips box after I left on Wednesday ('cause she was going on leave) but I was too chicken to eat it. Like so 自作主张. Today, she was, 'Why never eat?'. Uhh. Paiseh lah, I eat tomorrow I said.

I am in two minds about 'Mentor' and 'Nice Colleague', that much is obvious. I have a fear. I am afraid I will, one day soon, be laughing and critisizing 'Other Colleague' together with them.

The power of a sneeze

It is ridiculous how a sneeze can cause such a strong jerk reaction resulting in my knees buckling and thus a hurting back now. And it's the same part of the back, same kind of pain, only the initial pain wasn't as sharp as the last time. What the crap. I think it is a sign that I really should take that half day off. I mean, first it was the sore eye, now this.

Praying at the temple today was TERRIBLE. Who would have thought the many months working at the temple (it was peak period some more) did nothing to my tolerance of all that smoke from the joss sticks. My eyes stung and I was tearing like nothing.

Ahh pek chek. If we had sat two tables further for supper on Thursday, I would have won third prize and starter yesterday and they would have had a treat waiting for them.

Note to self: MUST complete SMU application by this week.

Everytime we talk, I wonder if there is going to be anything more.

Hate the mosquito under the table

First, here's to my first cup of lemon juice in a long long time!

I realised below is yet another friend with some lame no-talking period. There is something seriously wrong with me.

Remarks from Office of Admissions, NUS
Project Work upgraded to Band 2; MT grade to B4

DOCUMENTS RECEIVED (2007-03-31 13:36)

Wow, the documents were really sent within three hours. Speedpost Express is indeed Express. I am impressed. I think I am falling in love with courier-ing documents (I do so pretty often at work too) because for once, my document is the VIP VID (Very Important Document) and not some random mail in the, what, lump service?

Other than the slight crudeness, it is heartwarming to receive a sms saying, 'i'll be elated just to talk cock with you'.

It's again a sleepless night. Damn.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FIZAH!

So you have hit the big 2-0! My my, you are OLD.

To a year of transition from teen-hood to adult hood, one that marks a new phase in life, and of course to three years of friendship (minus the no-talking period) and more...

Happy April Fool's Day!

=D

Love,
Me
