Sorry I don't feel guilty at allGot my results yesterday and well.. they are nothing more than mediocre. I got a D for Math as expected. What's surprising is S got an F for it! And FNA was screwed as expected too - C+. Will got a CAP of 4.3 and another got 4.1! Gosh, I'm surrounded by high-fliers all round.
Anyway, there are already people planning their timetables! The horror.
Sis S and I bought loads of books so I've been reading and it makes me happy. (:

'Tis the season to be jolly! This Christmas has been largely uneventful but I'm definitely not complaining 'cause there was lots and lots of mahjong. (: Played the whole of last night and from evening to night today. Sis S has become so pro! She won 20-odd bucks just last night alone and we played only 10-20 so you can imagine how many times she won.
Home felt so festive last night 'cause everyone was here and it was so noisy even though it was already past midnight and there were presents everywhere. Plus there were loads of food in the kitchen as well - all leftovers from the parties my aunts and uncles came from heh.
Christmas loot include a toiletries set, candy cane and lollies from S, a top from Aunt J, Mind Trap from Aunt S and a cute lil elephant from Roomie. But these two cards are the most memorable.

From cousin Nette & family. It was so funny, I almost died laughing. Ah I exaggerate but it is really
that funny.

From Roomie. My gawd, she makes the best cards ever! She amazes me with her creativity every time she gives me a card like the birthday one that had 'happy bursday' on the cover 'cause she ran out of stickers. -.- So sweet lah - there was this once when we were looking at Christmas cards then she said she makes cards for her close friends and now she makes one for me! Oh yeah, that's how she writes. So cute right? (:
Anyway, Christmas was supposed to end with a sleepover at A's place with Mag and PM but I was playing mahjong and so didn't have the desire to leave home. They're prolly having a ball of a time at A's place now and I prepared cards! Which reminds me, I also prepared cards for SY and Val the other day but forgot to give grr. It feels wierd to give Christmas cards after Christmas gah. We'll see how it goes.

SPLURGED! =XSo I did a mental calculation of my expenses these 2 months in the shower this morning. I added and added and lo and behold, the numbers reached a dreaded four figure! =X Unbelievable.
There was Ms K's wedding on Saturday and she looked sooo preeeeetty. Actually she looked like how she looks on any other day. We saw where she got her pretty genes from - dad's oh-so-charming and tall! Oh and Ms C said I always had a double chin gah!
Anyway, this is one of the very few years I go shopping during the festive season and boy oh boy, the crowds are annoying. Christmas shopping is bleh but at the same time, real fun. I feel very happy coming home with bags and more bags. (:
It's Christmas eve! Going to meet S and Roomie to exchange gifts later. =D Plus the 通宵 mahjong at night. Aunt S is also coming over to give us presents. I have a feeling it's going to be a GREAT day!

I thought she at least trusted meVery disappointed. She has been taking us for a ride all this while. Haven't I/we shown her that we won't betray her? Don't even want to talk to her now. I haven't actually been talking to her for a while now anyway. It frightens me how she can do it so convincingly I didn't even think she was lying. It scares me to see how she has changed.

We cruised halfway round Singapore!
Oh, but as you can see, the sky became darker and darker and soon we were caught in a storm. The wind was blowing, the rain was dropping, and it was so freaking cold! Because of that, am now nursing a cold. ):
Plus, it was boring! Yes, we cruised, not sailed, from CSC to RSYC on a keelboat with a motor small enough to make the trip a whole 6 hours. But we passed the CBD, ferris wheel, PSA Keppel and West Coast and Sentosa on the way so the sights made up for it. (:

Love this picture the most. Slim, toned, shiny sunblocked legs. =D

Sleepover at A'sWe bummed around, watched vcds that Cx rented and fell asleep midway through the second movie. Woke up when it was bright and sunny, bummed around again then left 'cause A had to go back to school (which she didn't go in the end 'cause she delayed so much, the meeting ended even before she could leave Tamp -.-). Then we went to shop at G2000 'cause I had a $20 voucher due on the 23th. In the end, I spent so much there I now have another $20 voucher due on the 23th. -.- It's a horrid cycle.
Party planning is going extremely well. Invites are going out right now. I think we are great organisers. (: Excited excited.

First week of vacation... is a blast!
Besides Mambo, there was pool and The Warlords with S - funny how our meetings are always once annually - on Thursday (oh, bumped into C too), the stayover at Zee's place last night with loads of booze (gah, nothing is ever without alcohol with those peeps. Makes me feel terribly unhealthy) and today was supposed to be golf day but I was too tired to lug myself out of home.
So far, it's been one activity after another. Tomorrow's another sleepover but this time at A's. It's all good fun but kinda getting a bit
sian.
And Roomie and I are thinking of planning a x'mas party. Let's see how that works out.

Just back from MamboOkay so today was a tiny weeny bit fun. Went with Frenchie Nic (he's super charming!) and S then joined Lin and friends 'cause the two of us had groups that were neither big nor small hmm. Met Pong, D, Sam (I had to resort to sharing drinks with her booo) and some secondary school mate by the same name as me! But not enough drinks! Wasn't the least bit high with half jug vodka redbull and 2 tequila shots. What a waste of money. No one wanted to share drinks with me citing
bo lui! Gah. And the dance floor was damn packed. Plus my heels were aching so bad I took off my heels right outside Zouk. -.- Am never ever going to wear that pair to club again! Damn loser - I came home to listen to Mambo music. Looking forward to Dbl O next week! :D

Drifting awayFriday, 30 November, 10.41amI have this sudden desire to sail. Why can't I ever put in the determination and discipline or even competitiveness I put in the sport into my studies? Like the very first year, I told them seniors my aim was to be counted as part of the team's result and I worked hard to achieve that which I did in the end. How proud I was of myself then! Why can't I transfer all of that to academics?
So Roomie and I was chatting yesterday about grades and such. We started the semester with lofty goals of a CAP of 4.5. When we realised how unrealisable that was in between, we lowered it to a 4.0. Oh let's take a peek at our situation now - she has a whiff of perhaps getting that but hey, even 3.5 is a problem for me. Am not even close! What makes us feel even worse is that we are surrounded by friends who are sad when they get A minuses for their project. Like what the crap?! Is it because we have been getting our (sometimes) respectable grades without too much effort that is why we are struggling now? I hate that because this is generally the last lap of the education path, the population has been filtered and we are left with either the incredibly intelligent or the incredibly dilligent or better yet, both. God knows how I slipped past the filter system to end up here because I am both definitely neither.

To be forgotten feels horrible enough, but to be unwanted is infinitely worse. Grandaunt has been in the hospital ever since she touched down at Changi Airport. Nope, not out yet. It has been about a month. Just visited her today and she can walk now though she's getting a bit senile. She remembers me though! That made me really happy inside. Since she has no place to call home, no children of her own, and none of us are able to provide the care that she needs, doctors are now looking for a home for her. I think this episode has showed me something - that blood is thicker than water. By that, I mean your immediate family is the most important. God-sons/daughters (delete whichever) mean nothing at all. People will always look out for their innest (if there is even such a word) circle first.
More and more, I feel like I don't belong with them any more. Oh it is just as well. Okay, to be honest, I do get bothered sometimes but I get on with life not even half an hour after. Serious. I have my sisters and a few others who I know I can rely on and that's enough.

Woots.YAY! A brand new wallet - my very first long wallet! Though it is black (oh well..) but it's such a classic. (:
Plus bowling today was great! I was hitting over 100 after not playing for I don't know how many months. The last time was the one at East Coast Park and I can't even remember when was that already. But I guess I didn't learn my lesson. My thumb nail broke! Ouch. I think about 8mm of it came off. Bleh, I was just thinking of painting my nails again yesterday!
Ooo. Talking about East Coast Park, I think I will cycle there tomorrow morning. Wait, I mean later at about 6am. Need. To. Lose. Weight. I.e. Exercise.
Ooo. And talking about cycling, YH came by my place to pass me the SAFRA card at 1am yesterday! Gah I felt so bad because we.. err.. chatted so long.. err.. outside my door till the rain came down at 3am and he had to cycle back in the rain. Oops.

I don't feel the liberationSo the exams have ended. It sucked. I wanted to drown my sorrows after the last paper today but fate intervened - I had and still am having gastric. It's been 6 pills and a couple of hours. Gah! No, seriously, I should have just gone to mambo last night.

Depressing badlyDamn freaking frustrated with Econometrics. It is part statistics that I have done before but suddenly everything just disappeared, so much so that looking at the answer key, notes and even text gets me no closer to understanding the damn t-value, t-table and p-value shit.
And simultaneously being a good friend to PM.
Desperate and helpless. Even the webcast screwed up on me. What the crap.

My new wantThe iPhone!!
I held it in my hands yesterday and it was just the slimmest, sleek-est, sweetest thing ever.
