What goes around comes aroundYay! Our very own MJ guys robbed TJ of their prize. Okay, seriously, I wouldn't be this euphoric if TJ hadn't robbed us of third position because afterall, A is there. Unfortunately, as fate would have it, TJ and us were fighting for fourth and one had to go home without a prize. The choice is obvious. By all rights (my loyalty is also with us most definitely), we should truimph and we did! All hail the guys!
That was not all that happened. MJ has to be start a controversy every nationals you see. Just to make people sit up and think or just to show we are no little pushovers. Last year it was the SAJC saga and this year it is the RJ saga.
James protested against them for team racing which was already unprecendented in itself. Even ACS didn't protest against RI back then, what more anyone else? And the ruling was outrageous, bordering on being plain ridiculous. When they disqualifed the three sailors involved, I thought, 'well, they do realise that there was some illegal stuff going on there', but the fact that they didn't disqualify the RJ team just showed something, doesn't it? So the jury acknowledged the 'foul' but didn't (exactly) take action. Our guys might have gotten third you know.
But, oh well, all is over. Both teams got prizes to show for our hard work, thankfully. (We had a little scare but luckily it wasn't true, or else the girls would have been sailing this whole year for nothing, with no prizes to show)
