Back to Pan PacWhat a long day it was. 32 hours of wakefulness. But it was not a bad one. (:
So the day started with meeting up with YH, M and colleagues for lunch. So cool, YH and M are working in the same company by pure coincidence. Then YH was so nice as to accompany me to get a pant suit for the seminar today and give me a lift to near school since it was on the way and his company pays for his cab trips anyway. But I felt a tad bit guilty because shopping for my stuff made him late for his appointment, oops.
Then it was studying all the way. With plenty of distractions in between of course. Like ordering Pizza Hut for dinner. I was so impressed when the delivery man appeared at the canteen. He actually knew where is the arts canteen! Took the last bus home to shower, grab heels and all required stuff to look smart and it was back to school for more studying. Or at least that was what I intended to do. In the end, I didn't accomplish much because we got hungry at 3am and Macs needed one and half hour to process our order (!!!) so we walked to Cheers to get cup noodles. When we returned, Will and gf was already napping but Roomie suddenly was super hyper upon her discovery of 'new' innovations like the webcam and microphone on her lappy. There was no peace from then on.
Left bright and early in the morning for Pan Pac. Gave Roomie a lift home since cab fare was going to be paid for. Love paid-for cabbing! Our seminar was at the ballroom behind our prom one! The prom one was used for the Bloomberg seminar which we sneaked in at the end for the lunch. (: The other helpers are friendly people so yay! We took turns to eat at their buffet spread which was such a far cry from ours (in a good way of course).
Hmm, there is quite a difference in the way the service staff treats you when you're wearing more presentably I realise.
80 bucks, paid cab fares to and fro, chats with the other helpers (who are students from China but vastly different from stereotypes), lots of laughter and good food after, I am happy! And ill-prepared as can be for the Econs exam 8 hours from now. Pray for me.
